SPECIAL NOTICE: BOIL ORDER ISSUED
Update (May 24, 2026 9:28 AM)
Due to the water leak north of Greenbrier, a BOIL ORDER has been issued for affected customers down Hwy 285 East, Merritt, Lieblong, and Burkett Flatt areas. Our crews are working diligently to repair the leak. Please understand that it will be late next week before this is lifted due to the holiday and clearance from the Arkansas Department of Health. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Update (May 25, 2026 12:50 PM)
While both of the leaks are now fixed, it will be Tuesday (due to the holiday) for samples to be submitted for clearance. Once again, we will update the public immediately when the boil order is lifted.
Update (May 29, 2026 7:52)
The Arkansas Department of Health has officially lifted the boil order issued for northern portions of Greenbrier. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.

Until the order is lifted, residents should boil water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, food preparation. Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute, then let it cool before use. Bottled water may also be used.

That boil order notice is exactly the kind of local alert that makes everyday routines feel suddenly fragile. I appreciate the clear posting—hopefully officials share timelines, testing updates, and safe-water tips soon. While waiting for news, I often escape into unsettling interactive fiction; if you love branching dread, this The False Sun endings site maps all 20 endings, unlock guides, walkthroughs, and character profiles for The False Sun. Stay safe, everyone.
Seeing a boil order notice appear on a municipal site is always a jolt, and it's a good reminder to check these official pages directly instead of relying on rumor. The notice here is clear, though I'd love to see an estimated timeline and a map of affected zones. While you're stuck at home boiling kettle after kettle and waiting for the all-clear, it helps to have something low-key to fill the time. I've been passing the wait with a free online word ladder game — endless puzzles, no daily cap, no downloads. Stay safe and follow the guidance.
Boil orders are one of those notices that look minor until you're filling every pot in the house at 6 a.m. Good to see the alert posted so prominently — clear, timely updates genuinely matter when an entire neighborhood is affected. While waiting for one to lift last month, I killed the time with something oddly addictive: WorldGuesser, which drops you into random street-view locations and makes you figure out where on earth you are. Free, unlimited rounds, no sign-up. A decent distraction. Hope the order clears quickly for everyone.
Not the update anyone wants to see in their feed — hope the boil order gets lifted quickly and everyone has safe water sorted out soon. Situations like this do mean a lot of extra time stuck at home, though. I've been filling those restless evenings with quick browser races on community-built tracks, and https://playpolytrack.com/tracks has become my go-to. Low-poly, no download, easy to dip into between checking the town's latest news posts. Stay safe out there, neighbours.
