Effective as of the evening of May 5, 2025, Councilman Kelso’s departure marks the end of a long and impactful chapter in the city’s leadership.
In recognition of his many contributions, Mayor Hartwick presented him with a commemorative award, honoring his commitment and tireless service to the community. A motion to formally accept the resignation was made by Councilman Kelly Knowland, seconded by Councilman Larry Johnson, and approved unanimously by the council.
Throughout his two decades on the City Council, Councilman Kelso was known for his steady leadership, thoughtful decision-making, and deep commitment to the people of Greenbrier.
